Director of Studies: Embassy CES – ELICOS

Embassy CES Perth requires a Director of Studies (1.0 FTE) to manage teaching and educational standards, operational delivery of programs and student welfare.

Embassy CES, a member of Study Group, is a globally recognized ELICOS college providing GE, Academic Year (EAP/IELTS/Business English) and high school/foundation intensive English preparation programs. Study Group is a global leader in international education and training, providing a complete range of educational opportunities for students from over 120 countries.

Based at UWA Claremont, the DoS will manage approx. 15 teachers and 200 students on an expanding campus. This is a permanent position and the DoS is an important member of the campus Academic Board/Senior Management team.

Applications for the position of Head Teacher (0.4 FTE administration / 0.6 FTE teaching), supervising day to day operation of General English and Academic Year courses are also invited (maternity leave position April 08 – April 09).

Selection Criteria – qualifications & experience

Degree

• relevant Post-Graduate qualification (MA/Diploma in TESOL/DELTA or equivalent)
• 5 years minimum experience, relevant TESOL management experience, particularly with academic preparation programs.
• enthusiasm, excellent communication skills and high levels of IT literacy.

• Committed to excellence in engaging educational delivery and student success.
• Interested in being part of a collegiate atmosphere and willing to participate in non-teaching college activities.
