Progression to your Degree

The University preparation programmes taught at the International Study Centre offer an assured path to undergraduate study in a wide range of subjects or to postgraduate degrees in Management or the Built Environment.

Assured progression to a degree

Joining the Undergraduate Certificate or Pre-Masters programme guarantees that you will receive a conditional offer of a degree place at Heriot-Watt University. Soon after you join, you will be helped to nominate the degree programme onto which you want to progress.

How will I progress to my undergraduate degree?

Once you have successfully completed the Undergraduate Certificate, you can proceed directly to your degree at Heriot-Watt that October. The required pass mark will depend on your chosen degree course.

How will I progress to my postgraduate degree?

Following successful completion of the Pre-Masters you will progress to a postgraduate degree in one of the following Heriot-Watt schools:

• Masters in the School of Management - for an MSc in Business Management with International Marketing/HRM/Finance
• Masters in the School of the Built Environment - for an MSc in Construction Project Management, Facilities Management, Real Estate Management, Urban Regeneration or Real Estate Investment and Finance
