Progression from the Pre-Masters

Once you have successfully completed the Pre-Masters you can proceed directly to your preferred Masters degree from the options listed below. The required grade will depend on your chosen Masters programme.

All programmes are one-year taught postgraduate degrees. Read more about the structure of Masters degrees.

In order to progress to the degree programme you will need to obtain an overall grade at the end of your course, and a minimum English grade on the final English Skills module.

  • MSc/PG Diploma/PG Certificate in Forensic Science
  • MSc/PG Diploma/PG Certificate in Sustainability Engineering
  • MSc/PG Diploma/PG Certificate in Renewable Energy Engineering
  • MSc/Postgraduate Diploma in System Level Integration
  • MSc/PG Diploma/PG Certificate in Information Technology (embedded systems)
  • MSc/PG Diploma/PG Certificate in Embedded Systems
  • PG Diploma/PG Certificate in Mobile Communications
  • MSc/PG Diploma/PG Certificate in Information Technology (mobile communications)

Students can also progress on to the Actuarial Sciences course.

The requirements are: 2:1 in Maths, Physics or any degree with a substantial Maths content (such as Engineering).
