The Undergraduate Certificate

The undergraduate certificate combines academic modules, study skills and English language training, qualifying students to meet the challenges of degree-level study at the University. On successful completion, students can progress directly on to the second year of a degree.
Subject-focussed
There are three subject routes to choose from so that students can study classes that are relevant to their chosen degree:
All subject routes are modular in structure. There are five core modules common to each route: English Skills 1, English Skills 2, Study Skills, Project Study and Maths. Students also study five specific subject modules, each carefully designed to focus on the academic areas most useful to their chosen degree.
University-style teaching
The International Foundation Year is taught by specialists in university preparation. Students are taught in tutorials, seminar style classes and larger group lectures. This helps prepare the students for the university classroom environment.
Upon successful completion of the undergraduate certificate, students progress directly on to the second year of an undergraduate degree!
