The International Study Centre (ISC) offers degree preparation courses to empower international students who do not yet qualify for direct entry to undergraduate or postgraduate degrees at the University of Huddersfield. Degree preparation courses help international students overcome the challenges of studying at an English university by building a strong academic foundation, English language and study skills.
Joining the ISC is the best way to get a place at the University if you currently do not meet entry requirements. Once on the degree preparation course, students only need to achieve required grades before continuing to do their degree. To make this possible, ISC tutors provide the highest levels of academic monitoring and support to each and every student. ISC graduates will improve their academic and English language skills and learn to balance play and study time, making them more likely to succeed in their degree studies.

The International Foundation Year and Diploma lead to undergraduate while Pre-Master's leads to postgraduate degrees.
The International Foundation Year prepares you for undergraduate study and offers assured progression to the first year of a wide range undergraduate degrees at Huddersfield. This course is for you if you have completed High School but do not have the academic qualifications or English language proficiency for direct entry to an undergraduate degree. The International Diploma offers assured progression to the second year of business, management and marketing undergraduate degrees at Huddersfield. This course is for you if you are over-qualified for the foundation year, but under-qualified for direct degree entry. It is suitable if you have excellent High School grades, have completed A Levels, IB or Foundation or are already studying for a degree or HND in your own country, or if you are a mature student. The Pre-Master's course is the best route to success at postgraduate level. It leads to a choice of tens of one-year Master's degrees at the University of Huddersfield. This course is for you if you have a higher diploma or degree in a related subject or an Honours degree in any subject.
