Entry requirements:
Excellent (senior) high school grades / A Levels, IB or an internationally-recognised Foundation Year programme / Completed the first year of an HND or Advanced Diploma / First year of relevant undergraduate degree / Relevant work experience (for mature students only); required English language level. The Business Management route leads to the second year level of either a BA (Hons) Business Management degree or a BA (Hons) Business Information Management degree. Students need to achieve at least 40% overall grade and 40% English grade to progress to these degrees. We are currently taking applications for September 2011 entry.
A route is formed of core and route modules. Core modules will improve English skills, develop study skills and introduce key business concepts such as economics. Another important module covered is communication and interpretation of data - a vital skill for people who intend to study business degrees. Route modules are subject specific, based on a particular degree or field that you intend to study. In this case you will focus on management specific subjects.

Marketing: Theory and Practice 1
An introduction to the basic concepts of Marketing including the marketing mix and the market segmentation.
Introduction to Organisational Behaviour
Learn and understand the basic principles of how organisations develop and an understanding of organisational structure.
Introduction to Management Accounting
Understand the way that accounts are put together, analysed and used by Managers within organisations.
Human Resource Strategy and Procedures
Develop knowledge and application of the role of Human Resource management and the procedures that are followed.
The course is three terms long. You will undertake directed study for 15 hours per week, and self study for 15 hours per week. Assessment is in form of a mixture of tests, course work, case study and exams.
