The town has some of the most cost-effective and high-quality student accommodation in the UK.
Students are advised to confirm their place on an ISC programme as soon as possible to be guaranteed of university-approved accommodation. All students must apply and secure their room via the online application system.
For September entry, please note that the University can only guarantee you accommodation if you confirm your place at the ISC early, at least before or on the 15th August 2011.
University-approved accommodation
The University of Huddersfield's preferred and approved accommodation is at Storthes Hall Park Student Village and Ashenhurst Houses. These are located off campus, and are independent of the University, being privately owned and operated. Visit the website of Huddersfield's accommodation provider.
Whichever residence you choose, help is always at hand to deal with your problems and concerns. Each residence has on-site security 24 hours a day, seven days a week and a number of senior residents on call to help at any time. Cleaners clean all communal areas and each study room regularly. All rooms have access to broadband Internet. You have four options:

Location: pleasant woodland 15 minutes walk from the University and 30 minutes from the train station.

In residences, students are expected to behave in accordance with commonly accepted rules of good behaviour and to abide by the clauses of the Accommodation Licence Agreement. ISC students who have a confirmed place in residences should familiarise themselves with this document pre-arrival. Bring it with you to the ISC, fully signed by yourself and your guarantors, and ready to return to the Accommodation Office on arrival.
