Welcome from the Head of Centre

Paul Cawley - Head of the ISC“The International Study Centre (opened in September 2008) based on the University of Huddersfield campus, is a fantastic place to come and achieve your academic goals whilst enjoying the experience of living and studying abroad.

The ISC is set in Brunswick Building in the heart of the campus. Brunswick is a great building where all the teaching and social activities take place, thus providing a safe base for your initial weeks in the UK. When you start to feel more confident, the main campus facilities are just a few minutes away, with the centre of Huddersfield also being just a short walk.

All of the staff here work very hard to ensure that your first weeks here are as comfortable and stress free as possible. We all understand how hard those first few weeks are and have devised lots of strategies to help you settle in to your new home and find new friends. All our students here have commented on how friendly the centre is and how easy they have found adjusting to their new lives.

Our ISC is furbished with excellent IT facilities and well appointed classrooms. Your course of study at the ISC will not only help you to achieve the academic standards required by the University but it will also help you to become familiar with studying and living in a university campus environment.

The ISC has excellent links with the University. You will be able to access all student facilities from the day you arrive, after being issued with a University ID card.

We very much hope you will enjoy your time with us and I look forward to personally welcoming you to the University of Huddersfield."
