The ISC delivers a customized language and academic preparation program that gives international students the exact foundation necessary to achieve success on a James Madison University degree.
The International Year One program offers pathways to this top-ranking public university in the USA for international students who do not meet English language entry requirements.
Enrolling into International Year One gives you the security of knowing that you have received a conditional offer of a university place. Your I-20 immigration form is issued by the university and is valid for the entire duration of your studies.
Once you have successfully completed your English preparation course and have met the required English and academic entry standards, you will proceed directly to your preferred bachelor's degree.
You will be fully enrolled at James Madison University and can enjoy all the advantages of student life. Classes are taught on campus in James Madison University classrooms.
A comprehensive range of academic facilities are available to you, as well as extracurricular activities which allow you to get to know your American classmates. You are expected to communicate entirely in English, and such total immersion in the campus environment will be invaluable for your future studies.
You will be taught by specialists in preparation for American universities. Academic preparation and English classes are taught by qualified TESOL teachers. Undergraduate academic credit courses are taught by University faculty but in smaller classes than the normal curriculum, and with built-in specialized support for international students.
Study Group's International Study Centers are committed to providing our students with the skills, knowledge, and perspectives needed to take maximum advantage of the unlimited opportunities for success and achievement offered by a global education through strong university partnerships.
