Ashby Hall is home of the Madison International Program living-learning community, and to many international students. The Madison International Program is for both American and international students who have an interest in living with and learning about people from different cultures. Around 65 students, 4 resident advisors, and a hall director comprise the population of Ashby Hall. Each resident serves on one of four committees: communication and languages, politics and international affairs, food and pop culture, and health and ecology.

Students under 20 years old are guaranteed a place in safe and comfortable on-campus residences provided they confirm their place by the published accommodation deadlines*.
Off-campus accommodation: Students 20 years old and over, and younger students who miss the on-campus accommodation deadline, are given lists of options, and plenty of guidance on finding a place to live nearby.
* For Spring 2012 semester, the accommodation deadline was November 1, 2011.
