Depending on your major, you will be based in one of five JMU Undergraduate Colleges when you join the second year of the degree program:
College of Arts and Letters
Courses are designed to sharpen analytical abilities; improve communications skills; enhance cultural awareness; intensify moral & aesthetic sensitivity. Subjects include:

College of Business
Prepares exceptionally well qualified leaders for success in a global competitive marketplace. All of the College's degrees are accredited by AACSB International. Subjects include:

College of Integrated Science and Technology

Your choice of undergraduate majors
On successful completion of the International First Year, you will progress to the second year of a Bachelor's degree at James Madison University.
After the International First Year, you can matriculate into more than 60 majors. All students, regardless of major, participate in a liberal arts core curriculum and can choose electives from a broad range of course offerings. The faculty consults with employers to identify the areas and skills they seek and then incorporates them into the degree programs.
Innovative programs such as cross-disciplinary engineering, integrated science and technology, and quantitative finance, make sure James Madison University students are ready for the challenges of the future.
Outstanding programs include business, health professions, communications and those in the nationally renowned School of Music.
