About the International Study Centre
At Keele University International Study Centre (ISC) we realise that different education systems may affect international students' position to meet UK Universities entry requirements, including English language skills. To help these students, we offer specialist foundation courses for both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University.
Assured progression to your degree
Soon after joining, students are assisted to choose a degree programme onto which they progress. International Year One students progress directly to the second year of many undergraduate degrees. We also have a fabulous Pre-Masters programme, a stepping stone to selected taught Masters degrees.
On the University campus
Based at the heart of campus, ISC students are part of the University from day one. See a map of the ISC location on campus. All academic facilities and social opportunities at the University are available to each and every student, in addition to an automatic membership in the Students' Union which runs dynamic and comprehensive student activities.
Personal monitoring and support
ISC courses are validated by Keele University and taught by specialists in university preparation. Your progress will be monitored at all times to ensure successful completion of the programme. Students will also benefit from regular assessments through examination and marked coursework.
Links with University lecturers
Each student has a Link Tutor, who is a lecturer at the University, whose role is to help students understand degree choices as well as answer questions about University programmes. The Link Tutor system broadens students' knowledge of what Keele offers and allows you to engage with University faculty.
