The Physiotherapy Pre-Masters prepares international students who intend to study physiotherapy or health and rehabilitation or related taught-masters programmes at Keele University. This course will introduce you to various aspects of physiotherapy and is also an opportunity to appreciate and develop your interest before starting a taught Masters programme.
Course Overview

Assessment:
Coursework assignments, oral presentations, group work and unseen final module examinations. There will be emphasis on the use of complex reading material and the production of fully researched and referenced written work.
Assured progression to your degree
The Pre-Masters is validated by Keele University and taught by specialists in university preparation. Your progress will be monitored at all times to make sure you remain on track to successfully complete the programme. Once you have successfully completed the course, you will proceed directly to your preferred Masters programme.
The Pre-Masters in physiotherapy leads to the following postgraduate programmes:
- MSc in Physiotherapy
- MSc in Physiotherapy (Neurology)
For admission to the Pre-Masters
Academic: one or more of the following (for a list of academic requirements by country, see the table below):
- recognised higher/advanced diploma in a related subject area such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, medicine, nursing, psychology, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- recognised degree in related field
- Honours degree in any subject
English level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 (with min. 5.5 in all subskills), TOEFL 547 (210 CBT, 78 IBT) or Pearson Test of minimum 48.
- Age: students are normally at least 20 years old
- Country of residence/nationality: The ISC only considers application from 'overseas' students. Home/EU students are not accepted. For a full definition of HEU students see list here on the right.

Please take note of your English Language Level to select the right Entry Point for you. If you need EPM first, you will have to decide when to start the EPM course in order to join the Pre-Masters course on a particular entry point.

Making a payment
Fees can be paid by cheque, Sterling bank draft, telegraphic transfer or credit card. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express cards. Payments by credit and debit card are subject to a surcharge, but this is waived if fees are paid one month in advance of the course start date.
