Help and support on campus

The Centre for Learning and Student Support (CLASS) has responsibility for student academic support and for welfare.

Keele has a well-established and comprehensive support structure to help you get the most out of University.

Academic Guidance and Support

Provides confidential advice on many aspects of studying at university, and offers practical advice and support on how to improve your study skills. A resource room and qualified staff help you to get the most out of your time at Keele.

Careers Service

Gives advice and information about employability while you are at Keele and for three years after you leave.

Keele has one of the highest graduation rates in the UK, and Keele graduates have an employment rate of 95%*. The Careers Service enables you to explore your options after you leave University, and make an informed choice. It offers one-to-one guidance, career-related workshops and confidential careers interviews and provide information to help you make appropriate plans and put them into action. International students on campus

Places of worship

On campus there is an interdenominational Chapel, which provides a focus for Christian worship and a quiet/prayer room called The Space, which individuals of any or no faith can use for personal worship or quiet contemplation. There is a new Mosque (located in Barnes Hall but open to all students on and off campus) with facilities for Muslim worship.

There are also student societies dedicated to supporting students in their religious worship and life, including an Islamic Society, Keele Evangelical Christian Union and CathSoc.

Health Centre

There is a health centre on campus, with a male and a female doctor, and a dentist’s practice.

Disability Services

Applications from students with disabilities are welcomed and the Disability Services team is available to discuss personal and academic support needs with potential students. The service has many resources available, including Dyslexia screening, diagnostic assessment and tuition, specialised equipment and software, examination arrangements and identification stickers for assessed work

Student Counselling Service

A group of professionally trained and experienced counsellors will listen to what you are saying and offer you a safe space to talk about and express your emotions.

Student Financial Support Office

Assists students eligible to apply for Access to Learning and other support funds, and offers practical financial advice and guidance.
