Preparing for postgraduate study
The Kingston University ISC Pre-Masters is a two term Business and Management Masters preparation programme. Specifically designed for international students whose current academic qualifications do not meet Kingston University's Masters entry requirements. Studying a Pre-Masters programme will teach you the necessary postgraduate, academic and language skills, enabling you to complete your Masters studies.

After students complete the Pre-Masters Programme they will receive a conditional offer and can go onto study a wide selection of business-related Masters degrees at Kingston University.

What is the structure of the Pre-Masters course?
The course is modular. You will study eight credit-bearing modules in total: four in term 1 and four in term 2. Some modules are English skills for academic study and some cover academic subjects.
How will I be assessed?
Your development will be assessed regularly throughout the programme. This will ensure you achieve the standard required for progression onto your chosen postgraduate degree. Assessments include:
- Coursework
- Unseen written examinations
- Individual and group presentations
- Extended essays and case studies.
Entry requirements
Academic:
One or more of the following:

- Recognised higher/advanced diploma in a related subject area
- Recognised degree in related field (e.g. Business Studies)
- Honours degree in any subject (e.g. BA International Relations)
English Language:
- IELTS 5.5
- TOEFL (Computer-based test): 190
- TOEFL (Internet-based test): 68
- Pearson Test of English (PTE): 51 across all skills

Joining the Pre-Masters Programme guarantees you a conditional offer of a place on one of the specified Masters degrees at the University. Once you have successfully completed the course and met the required entry standards, you will proceed directly on to your preferred UK Masters programme.
Personal monitoring and support
The Pre-Masters is validated by Kingston University London and taught by specialists in postgraduate university preparation. Your progress will be monitored at all times to make sure you remain on track to complete the programme successfully.
There will be one Merit Scholarship for postgraduate studies, awarded by Kingston University.
The award will be made at the end of the Pre-Masters programme.
