Gain a world-class education at one of the UK's top rated universities
Why Lancaster University?
Lancaster is ranked in the top 10 of all three major UK league tables and is rated amongst the top 200 academic institutions worldwide.
Over 10,000 students from more than 100 countries choose to study here because of our excellent reputation for research, teaching and student satisfaction. In 2010, the national Student Survey rated our students some of the most satisfied in the country and we've won nine National Teaching Fellowships since the Award was launched in 2000.
Lancaster graduates go on to achieve great success in their careers.
Located in the North West of England, the University provides an outstanding and welcoming student experience on a 360 acre campus in a beautiful setting just three miles from the historic city of Lancaster. It's a safe and supportive environment and we pride ourselves on the unique student experience we offer on campus.
The International Study Centre
The Lancaster University International Study Centre is based on the campus and provides a direct route to a wide range of undergraduate degrees at the University.
Students find that studying at the International Study Centre (ISC) gives them the confidence to succeed in their undergraduate study.
We realise that university study in the UK requires skills which international students might not have developed in their own country and we also know how challenging it is to leave your own country to study abroad. Our programmes are meant to bridge the gap between the student's high school preparation and university study in the UK and to provide a soft landing into UK life and culture.
92% of Lancaster ISC students who completed the International Foundation Year were offered a place to study at Lancaster in 2011.
