Linda Rankine

Linda Rankine, International Student Enrolment Adviser

Linda speaks Cantonese and Mandarin as well as English. Contact her here.

"Hello! My name is Linda and I come from China. I became an English teacher in China after my undergraduate study, and then joined an international company. I felt the desire to travel and decided do my second degree in the UK. I chose Lancaster University because it has a very good reputation and the Management School is one of the best in the country. I thoroughly enjoyed my MA in Management and Organisational Learning. The teaching is of a very high standard and the staff are extremely helpful. The course enhanced my competence and ability to respond effectively to changing demands at work, not to mention how to integrate successfully into English society. I have many fond memories of my time at Lancaster: the inspirational tutors, meeting people of all different nationalities and backgrounds, visiting Edinburgh, Dublin, Cambridge and London, long walks in the Lake District, dancing at the Sugar House on Friday nights…

I am very pleased to now be counselling students who are interested in studying at Lancaster University. I understand it is a big decision to make, but I am sure my knowledge and experience will help you make the right decision. I speak fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese. Please feel free to contact me with any queries. I look forward to hearing from you and I will do my best to help."

Bijan Hassanpour

Bijan Hassanpour, International Student Enrolment Adviser

Bijan speaks Arabic and Farsi as well as English. Contact him here.

"My name is Bijan Hassanpour. I am originally from Iran, but currently live in the UK. I am from a city called Isfahan, which is very famous for its art and cultural history (definitely worth a visit), located in the centre of Iran. I started my education in different Middle Eastern countries and later completed my degree course at a British university. I speak, read and write fluently in three languages: Arabic, Farsi (Persian) and English. As a student enrolment advisor, I provide help and advice to students from the Middle East, Turkey and North Africa, which I greatly enjoy. If you are a student from these areas, I would be very happy to deal with your application and respond to your enquiries at any time. So let's get you into your course without any delays."

Yuka Nara

Yuka Nara, International Student Enrolment Adviser

Yuka speaks Japanese as well as English. Contact her here.

"My name's Yuka Nara and I really enjoy counselling students about studying in the UK. After four years of undergraduate study in Tokyo, I decided to come to the UK. I still remember the excitement of coming here to study English for the first time! Everything was very different from what I had experienced in Japan, and I was discovering something new each day. I really enjoy cooking, travelling and reading books - and I recently started playing tennis with my son, Oliver. Although we are both beginners, we enjoy it so much (good exercise but really hard work for beginners - anyone who has tried it will know what I mean)! Please don't hesitate to get in touch. I will be happy to advise you about your studies with Lancaster University International Study Centre."

Radek Falkowski

Radek Falkowski, International Student Enrolment Adviser

Radek speaks Polish, German and a little Russian, as well as English. Contact him here.

"Hello! I'm Radek. I find myself here in England, pushed by the urge to travel. In the past this desire has taken me to many different places such as the USA and Germany, where I brushed up on my language and communication skills in German and English. As I originally come from Poland, I had a chance to learn some Russian at school and then practise it during my short visits to Ukraine and Belarus. Unfortunately, in that language I am far from fluent. I have always found learning languages fascinating, opening the doors to many different worlds, and before I knew it, I became a teacher of English myself. Now, I'm happy to be a part of a bigger picture - helping people from all over the world learn the most spoken language on Earth. Please feel free to contact me with any queries you might have and I'll do my best to help you."

Henrik Gundersen

Henrik Gundersen, International Student Enrolment Adviser

Henrik speaks Spanish and Norwegian as well as English. Contact him here.

"Hello! My name is Henrik Gundersen and I come from Norway. Like many of our students I have lived in different countries and learnt new languages, and in my opinion the benefits of an international learning environment cannot be measured. If you choose Lancaster University, I am confident that you will not only graduate with a very good degree, but you will also have made friends from all around the world who you can then visit afterwards - what better excuse to travel the world! My area of responsibility is Africa, so if that is where you are from, please feel free to contact me and I shall do what I can to help!"

Agnes Vinkler

Agnes Vinkler, International Student Enrolment Adviser

Agnes speaks Hungarian and German as well as English. Contact her here.

"Hello! I have been living in England since 2004. Before that I counselled students about language courses abroad for over four years, so I gained lots of experience in this field and I am certain that this knowledge will be useful when assisting you. I am originally from the southern part of Hungary (Kaposvar) but lived in the capital, Budapest, while I was at university and afterwards for work. At university my major was English and I am a certified Teacher of English as a Foreign Language. I used to be a competitive swimmer (actually, a finswimmer) and I still love all kinds of water sports. I am looking forward to receiving your enquiries; please feel free to contact me."

Daniele Turati

Daniele Turati, International Student Enrolment Adviser

Daniele speaks Italian and Spanish as well as some French - and of course, English. Contact him here.

"Hello. I come from Italy, originally from Milan. I have been living and working in England since 2005. I have a degree in International Relations, and since I was at university I had the desire to travel to improve my language skills, and meet people from different countries. This passion has taken me to live, study and work across Europe. Being a Student Enrolment Advisor gives me the chance to use the knowledge I have gained, to fulfil and satisfy all the academic needs of our students. I believe that living in an English-speaking country is a fundamental experience in modern society, which allows students to discover new lifestyles, and to communicate with people from anywhere. I'm passionate about languages, and apart from Italian I speak Spanish, English and have a good understanding of French. Write to me if you need advice about your studies."

Alexandro Lotito Alexandro Lotito, International Student Enrolment Adviser

Alexandro speaks Italian, Spanish, some French and English. Contact him here.

"Hi everybody! My name is Alex (Alessandro), and I come from the lovely, warm and sunny Italy. Perugia is my city. I love my country but I moved and I am now working in England as a Student Enrolment Adviser. I speak Italian, English, Spanish and some French. Since you cannot say you know a foreign language without visiting the country, I spent time in Spain, France and England for holiday and study and I loved it because I like to travel. The world is too big to remain in your own country. I am also a computer and internet expert: I look at the internet as one of the biggest inventions of the modern human history so I am always online. Feel free to contact me at any time for any questions. Ciao!"
