Leicester is easy to get to by road, rail or air. It is close to major motorway and rail links, and two airports.

Getting to the University by air

When you apply, you can arrange a taxi transfer from the main London airports: Gatwick (LGW) or Heathrow (LHR). The taxi will take you straight to your accommodation when you arrive in the UK. See the price of airport transfers on the fees page.

Alternatively, you can reach Leicester by a regular direct coach service from both London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports.

Public transport is also available from the two regional airports close to Leicester, Nottingham East Midlands Airport (EMA) and Birmingham International Airport (BHX). From Birmingham International airport you will need to change trains at Birmingham New Street station.
