Opportunities, enterprise and success

Enterprise@Lincoln is dedicated to equipping students with the skills, confidence and opportunities to maximise their potential from student life to beyond graduation.

Individual support and information

Enterprise@Lincoln offers a dedicated team of qualified advisors who are available to provide students with the individual support and information they need when considering their futures.

Supporting Enterprising Students

Located in a new £3.2 million building adjacent to the Great Central Warehouse Library, the department works closely with all faculties across the university to support enterprising students.

Opportunities

The University’s careers service, Opportunities, offers a dedicated team of qualified advisors who are available to provide students with individual support and information they need when considering each student’s future.

Working closely with regional and national employers, the service offers a wide range of activities and workshops throughout the year, including: the annual Enterprise & Employability Week, employer presentations, job hunting workshops, employer mentoring schemes as well as advertising graduate positions.

Joseph B Akpan

When I graduate I hope to work in software engineering or software development. I made Lincoln my first choice as it offered the best course for me and my career aspirations.

The facilities for my course are excellent: there are dedicated computer labs with computers of a high quality, while the University’s Great Central Warehouse Library, which is situated right on-campus, also helps with my studies. For example, it has a wide range of books available that are related to my course.

Lincoln is a great place to be – there’s always something new to do and, because everything is so central, whether you’re heading for a lecture, meeting friends or going shopping, it’s only a ten-minute walk away.
