Lincoln offers a beautiful combination of old and new. The city’s gothic Cathedral, castle and cobbled streets sit alongside a vibrant and modern city centre packed with shops, bars and restaurants.
The University and International Study Centre are also in the heart of the city. The main Brayford Pool campus is situated on the picturesque waterfront area right next to the city centre.

Lincoln has a great variety of entertainment venues. There is a nine-screen cinema situated on the attractive Brayford waterfront area. You can also go and see a show at the Engine Shed, The Theatre Royal, The Drill Hall and the University’s Lincoln Performing Arts Centre.

The city offers a wide variety of shops including main high street stores as well as individual, specialist shops and boutiques.
Arts and culture
Lincoln is a very cultural city with several art galleries and museums including The Collection: Art and Archaeology in Lincolnshire and the Usher Gallery.
Nightlife
The city has a lively night scene with plenty of student-friendly bars and clubs, many offering student nights and discounts. If you would like something a little more traditional, the Bailgate area of the city has a good selection of pubs and restaurants.
Location
Lincoln is located in the heart of the UK, within easy reach of Nottingham, Sheffield and Leeds. The railway station is a few minutes walk from the Brayford Pool campus with regular train links.
