The city of Liverpool
Liverpool John Moores University is located at the heart of one of the most exciting cities in the UK. Liverpool is a city full of passion - for music, sport, culture, live entertainment and nightlife.
As the 2008 European Capital of Culture it should come as no surprise that Liverpool has its own distinctive style. From its flair for fashion, art and culture, to its love of sport, music and comedy, Liverpool is a city unmatched by any other in the UK.

'The world in one city'
Liverpool is a city that is very supportive of the 50,000 students who live, work and study in its universities. Its claim to be 'the world in one city' is reflected in the diversity of Liverpool's international communities now fully integrated into Liverpool’s social fabric.
The city's Chinatown is the oldest in Europe. Pakistani, Indian, Bangladeshi, Somalian and Nigerian communities are just a few of the other nationalities that are now well established in Liverpool. All this lends itself to Liverpool being a vibrant and cosmopolitan city and, according to Home Office statistics, one of the safest in the UK too.
