The Embassy Pathway Programs provide international students with the best preparation for entrance to a top US university. Our programs are specially designed to provide university-level English language and study-skills tuition to enable students to transition directly onto a degree course.
There are two initial options depending on your English language level
1. American Diploma for University Entrance (Diploma)
- This Diploma course combines intensive English-language tuition with academic study skills.
- There are five modules included every semester: reading, writing, listening, speaking and study skills.
- The course is split into four stages.
- At stage three students can begin earning degree credits from the academic faculties of PLU.
- After completion of stage four students can transfer to a full-time degree at PLU.
(Students must have a minimum of TOEFL iBT 30 to begin stage one)
2. Language Year Abroad (LYA)
- Students with lower levels of English, who are not ready for the Diploma can join our Language Year Abroad (LYA) course.
- This is a flexible, long-term English course. Student performance on this course is continuously monitored to ensure progress and direct learning.
- Students who successfully complete the Language Year Abroad may qualify for the Diploma course.
