AACSB Accreditation

The MBA program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. AACSB International is the premier accrediting agency for degree programs in business. This accreditation assures quality and promotes excellence and continuous improvement in business education. The PLU MBA program has been accredited since 1976 and was the first AACSB-accredited MBA program in the South Puget Sound region.

Course options

The MBA program classes are taught on Monday through Thursday evenings. You can choose one of four options:

1. General Management

  • Core program: 36 hours of core courses (listed below)
  • Elective courses: 9 hours from the relevant choices (listed on the right)

2. Health Care Management emphasis

  • Core program: 36 hours of core courses (listed below)
  • Required course: Managing Health Care Enterprises (3 hours)
  • Elective courses: 6 hours from the relevant choices (listed on the right)

3. Entrepreneurship and Closely-Held Business emphasis

  • Core program: 36 hours of core courses (listed below)
  • Required course: Leading Family & Closely-Held Enterprises (3 hours) OR New Venture Management (3 hours)
  • Elective courses: 6 hours from the relevant choices (listed on the right)

4. Technology and Innovation Management emphasis

  • Core program: 36 hours of core courses (listed below)
  • Required course: Technology Management (3 hours)
  • Elective courses: 6 hours from the relevant choices (listed on the right)
