Foundation Studies program: prepare for university

Who is the program for?
The Foundation Studies degree preparation program is designed for international students who require only a single semester of study to reach the English language levels for entry to an accelerated degree or the Pre-Master's Program.
Curriculum
The program enables students to deal with complex academic texts and to produce academic writing, fully referenced and in line with established conventions at university in Canada. A Study Skills course provides opportunities to research and deliver a formal presentation on an academic topic.

Assessment
Student progress is demonstrated through the production of a portfolio of work drawn from all the Foundation Studies courses. This, along with final assessments of your English level, provides evidence of your readiness to move to the next step on your journey at university in Canada.
Progression on program completion
On completion of the Foundation Studies program, you must achieve these language levels to progress:
