The halls of residence overlook the loch in the centre of the campus and provide the independence you need in a caring community that has everything within easy walking distance. See a map of campus for the location of accommodation.
Accommodation is guaranteed to all students enrolling at the International Study Centre (usually in Andrew Stewart Hall or Andrew Kerr Davidson Hall. Pre-Masters students only can be placed Lyon Crescent) provided students apply early. This accommodation is offered on a 38-week let basis, allowing students to remain in accommodation for the duration of the course.
Following successful completion of a course at the International Study Centre, the University will continue to provide guaranteed University-managed accommodation for the duration of your studies. In subsequent years, you can apply to stay in University flats, apartments and chalets.
Study bedrooms: rooms are almost all single-occupancy. In times of high demand, some students may have to share a twin room for a short time.
All bedrooms are fully furnished (including bed, heater, chair, desk, lamp, mirror, storage for books and clothing) and have network sockets installed to enable access to the University’s computing resources, including email and use of the internet. A small charge is payable.
Bathroom facilities: bedrooms in A K Davidson Hall have a wash hand basin in the room with shared shower and toilet facilities located nearby. Andrew Stewart Hall has both en suite bedrooms (i.e. shower/wc facilities within the room) or bedrooms with private facilities (ie. shower/wc located nearby). Lyon Crescent (Pre-Masters students only) are standard rooms and have shared toilet/bathroom facilities nearby.
Housekeeping: Duvets, pillows and bed linen are provided as standard, and laundered by the University. There are a number of communal launderettes available for student use on campus.
Kitchens: all accommodation is offered on a self-catering basis and residents have access to well-equipped kitchens with ample cooking and storage facilities. Students need only to provide cooking utensils and crockery.
Social facilities: each hall has communal social facilities which include a TV lounge equipped with widescreen TV, DVD and VCR and a games room with table tennis and pool tables etc. All residences are mixed male and female students.
Security: Andrew Stewart Hall and Andrew Kerr Davidson Hall benefit from a controlled door entry system and a reception area which is staffed 24-hours a day.
Disability Access: fully accessible accommodation is available for students with disabilities.

Students who will be under 18 at the start of thier course and wish to arrange their own accommodation in the private sector must provide an address to the ISC before they can confirm their place on a course.
