Entry requirements for the Pre-Master's

Students must meet minimum Academic and English language requirements for entry to the Pre-Master's. If you are unsure whether you meet the requirements, please contact us.

English language level

  • Academic: one or more of the following:
    - recognised higher/advanced diploma in a related subject area
    - recognised degree in related field (eg Business Studies)
    - Honours degree in any subject (eg BA International Relations) (see table below)
  • Country of residence/nationality: 'overseas' students only (HEU students are not accepted - see note below)
  • Age: students are normally at least 20 years old
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant work experience require for the MBA only.

English Language requirements

Students must meet a minimum IELTS level of 5.5 for direct entry to the re-Master's programme.  However, students with a lower English level can take extra English tuition before joining the three term programme with our English Language Preparation (ELP) programme.

If you don't have a current IELTS grade, you may still apply to the ISC. Please contact us to find out about alternative assessment of your English Language level.

All students' English and numeracy skills will be tested on arrival, and study plans may be altered accordingly. (This may incur additional costs).

Students who do not meet this requirement can study one on two terms of English for Pre-Masters (EPM) Prior to the Pre-Masters programme.

Course structure: 25 hours per week tuition plus 10 hours per week of self-study
Progression: On successful completion, you will continue your studies on the Pre-Masters programme
