The University of Stirling really does offer the best of all worlds: a picturesque, peaceful environment, perfect for studying, yet close to some of the UK's most exciting cities; a vibrant and close-knit community where it is easy to make friends, get involved and to feel at home.
There is a strong community feel on campus and students are well supported through the clubs, teams and support networks that are available. The campus has been described independently as one of the safest in Britain. A central social area on the campus connects the library, eating facilities, shops, Students' Association and the Arts Centre.

The University campus offers a vibrant and attractive setting in which to study and live. Situated beneath the Ochil Hills, the campus is centred around a beautiful loch (lake) and includes Airthrey Castle – an 18th century Scottish baronial mansion designed by one of Europe's greatest architects, Robert Adam. The views around campus are breathtaking.
The rest of the University buildings offer exceptionally modern facilities and have been designed to harmonise with the landscape. All facilities are a short walk from each other, ensuring that you have easy access to everything you need.
The University was recently short listed for the award of "The UK's Best Student Experience"*. Students were asked to rate their University on categories such as quality of staff/lectures, courses, social life, community atmosphere, sports facilities, library and campus environment.
