Research at Stirling

Here at Stirling our energetic research community conducts all kinds of quality research relevant to society's needs. In this way, we make a vital contribution to life in Scotland and beyond.

Our research

Research Fortnight's "Research Success Rankings" of 2007 ranked Stirling as the top university in Scotland for attracting research income. This success will continue as we aim to top more than £10m a year by 2009. We will maintain our exceptional quality standards and will continue to support and improve life in Scotland, and the world, through our research. To find out more about what we do, please see the "About our Research" section.

The UK-wide Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) confirmed the quality of the work being done by our researchers. 85% of the University of Stirling’s research has been judged to be internationally excellent and internationally recognised, with the top 10% of that judged to be world class.
