A great way to get involved is through clubs and societies. There are over 50 sports clubs run by the Sports Union, covering individual and team sports.

Serious about Sport

Inter-University Leagues: When it comes to competing with other universities in Britain and abroad, the sports clubs have an impressive track record. Stirling students are regular winners at golf, swimming, tennis, football, rugby, netball and hockey. The Club Performance Programme helps improve the success of our teams in national and international competitions.

Recent achievements include 11 athletes who competed at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, five Olympians at the 2004 Olympics, a double silver medallist at the 2004 Paralympic Games and a double silver medallist at the 2005 World Student Games.

Top Sports Performance: Stirling excels at helping students compete at high levels. For students with real potential, we offer an International Sports Scholarship Programme. This includes financial help and top-level coaching.

Leisure at Stirling

At university, what you do is up to you. That spirit thrives at Stirling, and key to it is the Stirling University Students' Association (SUSA). They organise and provide everything you could possibly want. They support and help you. They give you the opportunity to get involved. Everything they do is run by students for students.

Clubs and Societies

One of the best ways to meet new people is to join one of the many clubs and societies which are run by students, with the support of SUSA. From political societies and environmental groups, to the student TV and radio stations, you are sure to find a club that matches your interests. See a list of Student clubs and societies run by SUSA.

Entertainment for Everyone

SUSA runs four bars on campus and books entertainment in these venues, so there's always something to do whether you want to relax or party, chat or dance.
