International Study Centre

Welcome from the Head of Centre

Tim Miller, Head of Centre at Stirling ISC

"What better place to begin your degree pathway than at the University of Stirling in the centre of Scotland. Here you can take the Undergraduate Certificate and be registered as a student at the University, with all of the benefits this brings.

Academic excellence is one of the reasons that students are attracted to Stirling. Many departments are rated top in Scotland for research and the University is voted third in the UK for graduate employability.

Another attraction is our magnificent campus, recently voted one of the safest in Europe. We have our own loch and castle and are in the shadow of the Wallace Monument, yet are still only ten minutes from the city of Stirling and less than an hour from the international airports of Glasgow and Edinburgh.

There is plenty to do on campus thanks to the excellent social and entertainment programme provided by Stirling’s award-winning Students’ Association and the impressive Macrobert Arts Centre. Sports facilities are outstanding and include a golf course, 50 metre swimming pool, and an ultra-modern fitness centre. In fact, whatever you may want to do, you can do it here at Stirling.

The International Study Centre offers overseas students small classes and lots of individual attention and support to ensure the best possible preparation for undergraduate study. I hope you choose Stirling and look forward to your joining this special pathway programme at our new Centre. You can expect a very warm welcome from the ISC team."
