Meet our Student Enrolment Advisors

Meet the team behind the telephones and emails! Our Student Enrolment Advisors are here to help, whether you want advice on which course to choose, or need more information about the International Study Centre. They will support you with your application and with the visa process right up until you arrive at the University. Make an enquiry and they will contact you by email. If you prefer to be contacted by telephone, request it on the enquiry form.

To make it as easy as possible for you, our Advisors speak a variety of languages, and understand several more. As well as English:

Yuka speaks Japanese as well as English. Contact her here.

"My name's Yuka Nara and I really enjoy counselling students about their English courses. After four years of undergraduate study in Tokyo, I decided to come to the UK. I still remember the excitement of coming here to study English for the first time! Everything was very different from what I had experienced in Japan, and I was discovering something new each day. I really enjoy cooking, travelling and reading books - and I recently started playing tennis with my son, Oliver. Although we are both beginners, we enjoy it so much (good exercise but really hard work for beginners - anyone who has tried it will know what I mean!). Please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I will be happy to advise you about your studies."

"My name is Bijan Hassanpour. I am originally from Iran, but currently live in the UK. I am from a city called Isfahan, which is very famous for its art and cultural history (definitely worth a visit), and located in the centre of Iran. I started my education in different Middle Eastern countries and later completed my degree course at University in England. I speak, read and write fluently in three languages: Arabic, Farsi (Persian) and English. As a student enrolment advisor, I provide help and advice to students from the Middle East, Turkey and North Africa, which I greatly enjoy. If you are a student from these areas, I would be very happy to deal with your application and respond to your enquiries at any time. So let’s get you into your course without any delays."

I have been through the whole process of studying abroad, and I'd like to offer the best possible service to help you achieve your goal of studying abroad. I am very pleased to now be counselling students who are interested in studying at the University of Surrey. Radek speaks Polish, German and a little Russian, as well as English. Contact him here.

"Hello! I'm Radek. I find myself here in England, pushed by the urge to travel. In the past this desire has taken me to many different places such as the USA and Germany, where I brushed up on my language and communication skills in German and English. As I originally come from Poland, I had a chance to learn some Russian at school and then practise it during my short visits to Ukraine and Belarus. Unfortunately, in that language I am far from fluent. I have always found learning languages fascinating, opening the doors to many different worlds, and before I knew it, I became a teacher of English myself. Now, I'm happy to be a part of a bigger picture - helping people from all over the world learn the most spoken language on Earth. Please feel free to contact me with any queries you might have and I'll do my best to help you."

"Hello! My name is Henrik Gundersen and I come from Norway. Like many of our students I have lived in different countries and learnt new languages, and in my opinion the benefits of an international learning environment cannot be measured. If you choose the University of Surrey, I am confident that you will not only graduate with a very good degree, but you will also have made friends from all around the world who you can then visit afterwards - what better excuse to travel the world! My area of responsibility is Africa, so if that is where you are from, please feel free to contact me and I shall do what I can to help!"

"Hello! I have been living in England since 2004. Before that I counselled students about language courses abroad for over four years, so I gained lots of experience in this field and I am certain that this knowledge will be useful when assisting you. I am originally from the southern part of Hungary (Kaposvar) but lived in the capital, Budapest, while I was at university and afterwards for work. At university my major was English and I am a certified teacher of English as a foreign language. I used to be a competitive swimmer (actually, a finswimmer) and I still love all kinds of water sports. I am looking forward to receiving your enquiries; please feel free to contact me."

Alessandro Lotito

Alessandro Lotito from Italy

Alessandro speaks Italian, Spanish, some French and English. Contact him here.

"Hi everybody! My name is Alex (Alessandro), and I come from the lovely, warm and sunny Italy. Perugia is my city. I love my country but I moved and I am now working in England as a Student Enrolment Adviser. I speak Italian, English, Spanish and some French. Since you cannot say you know a foreign language without visiting the country, I spent time in Spain, France and England for holiday and study and I loved it because I like to travel. The world is too big to remain in your own country. I am also a computer and internet expert: I look at the internet as one of the biggest inventions of the modern human history so I am always online. Feel free to contact me at any time for any questions. Ciao!"
