The International Study Centre (ISC) offers international students who do not meet direct entry requirements, specialist preparation for several undergraduate degrees at the University of Surrey. The International Foundation Year delivered at the ISC provides a choice of routes in key subject areas.
Assured progression to your degree
Joining the International Foundation Year guarantees you a degree place at the University. Soon after you join, tutors will help you select a degree to progress to. Once you have completed the foundation course with required grades, you will begin your preferred degree programme.
Access to university facilities
You will be part of the University from the day you start your course. Apart from International Study Centre specific resources, you will have access to a full range of on-campus University academic resources and social facilities.
Brand new facility at the heart of campus
The ISC is based in a brand new facility on the University campus. You will be part of the University from the day you start your course.
Personal monitoring and support
Your progress will be monitored at all times by specialists in university preparation. Tutors will make sure you remain on track to complete the course successfully . You will also benefit from regular assessment through examination and marked coursework.
Links with University lecturers
Your Link Tutor, who is also a lecturer at Surrey, will help you to understand your degree choices and answer your questions about your degree. The Link Tutor system allows you to learn more about your degree before you begin it.
Management of the International Study Centre
The International Foundation Year at the University of Surrey International Study Centre is run by Study Group, working in partnership with the University of Surrey.
