About the University of Surrey International Study Centre
The University of Surrey International Study Centre (ISC) is a teaching facility for international students who need tailored pathways into various degree undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the University.
ISC Courses
1. The International Foundation Year - the first year of a four-year degree programme designed for international students who need preparatory study before moving into the next three years of undergraduate degree study at the University.
2. The Economics Pre-Masters - academic subjects, study skills and English language training specifically designed to prepare international students for postgraduate economics programmes at the University
Personal monitoring and support
At the ISC we value the success of our students. Student progress will be monitored at all times by specialists in university preparation. Tutors will make sure you remain on track to complete the course successfully. You will also benefit from regular assessment through examination and marked coursework.
Links with University lecturers
Your Link Tutor, who is also a lecturer at Surrey, will help you to understand your degree choices and answer your questions about your degree. The Link Tutor system allows you to learn more about your degree before you begin it.
Centre facilities and location on campus
The ISC is based in a brand-new, purpose-built facility in the Philip Marchant Building at the heart of the University campus. The ISC occupies the second floor of the building and includes classrooms, the administrative office and academic staff rooms.
The Philip Marchant Building is also home to the University's Careers Service, Accommodation Office and the International Office. The International Office provides support and advice for international students who are already at the University. See a map of the location of the ISC on the campus.
Our students enjoy the use of facilities within the ISC as well as resources across campus. The ISC has dedicated computer access, a mini library and other self access materials to help during your studies.

Management of the International Study Centre
The International Foundation Year at the University of Surrey International Study Centre is run by Study Group, working in partnership with the University of Surrey.
