Getting to the University of Surrey by air
It is easy to get to the University when you first arrive. It is conveniently situated for both London Heathrow Airport and London Gatwick Airport. A taxi transfer can be arranged when you book your place - see fees page for cost of collection by taxi.
You can also travel from the airports in less than an hour by public transport:
From Heathrow (LHR) Airport: The journey takes about 50 minutes to Guildford. Take a coach to Woking Station and a train on to Guildford.
From Gatwick (LGW) Airport: The journey takes 40 minutes from Gatwick Station (South Terminal), on a direct train to Guildford.

Getting to Guildford City centre
By bus: The University is served by five different bus routes which travel to and from the City Centre. The bus service is very regular and runs late into the night.
On foot: Campus is a 10-15 minute walk from the city Centre and train station.
Getting to London
By Rail: Guildford has a direct rail link to the main London station of London Waterloo, with a frequent service taking 32 minutes.
By Coach: The journey from Guildford to London Victoria coach station takes 60 minutes.
