Travelling to the University of Surrey
It is easy to get to the University when you first arrive. It is conveniently situated for both London Heathrow Airport and London Gatwick Airport. A taxi transfer can be arranged when you book your place, but you can also travel from the airports in less than an hour by public transport.
From Heathrow Airport: The journey takes about 50 minutes to Guildford. Take a coach to Woking Station and a train on to Guildford.
From Gatwick Airport: The journey takes 40 minutes from Gatwick Station (South Terminal), on a direct train to Guildford.
Arrival at Stansted or Luton airports will involve a long journey across London.
Getting to Guildford City centre
By bus: The University is served by five different bus routes which travel to and from the City Centre. The bus service is very regular and runs late into the night.
On foot: Campus is a 10-15 minute walk from the city Centre and train station.
Getting to London
By Rail: Guildford has a direct rail link to the main London station of Waterloo, with a frequent service. London Waterloo is also the terminus for the Eurostar service to Paris and Brussels. Fast trains to Waterloo take 32 minutes.
By Coach: The journey from Guildford to London Victoria coach station takes 60 minutes.
