Once you have successfully completed your International Foundation Year at Surrey you are ready for the challenge and enjoyment of undergraduate study. When you begin your degree you will study within one of these five schools:

School of Arts, Communication and Humanities

The School offers a broad range of learning and research opportunities across a number of arts and social science based subjects and is proud of the diversity of its staff and students. The School strives for international excellence in research and teaching in Arts (Dance, Music, Sound Recording), Communication (Linguistics, Media, Culture and Languages) and Humanities (Law, Politics and Policy). It offers a wide range of programmes of study for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

School of Electronics and Physical Sciences

Within the core disciplines of Computing, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics and Physics the School enjoys a reputation for excellence in research and teaching, allied to a strong enterprise culture and an unrivalled record of graduate employment. The School offers innovative and exciting courses at undergraduate and masters level, and world leading research programmes from nuclear physics to interplanetary space travel.

School of Engineering

The School of Engineering offers a wide range of modular MEng and BEng undergraduate programmes in aerospace, civil, chemical, chemical and bio-systems, mechanical, medical and sustainable systems engineering, plus a BSc in Entrepreneurship in Technology, IT and Business. Alongside teaching activities, the School has three research centres: Environmental Strategy; Fluids and Systems; Materials, Surfaces & Structural Systems.

School of Human Sciences

The School has world-wide connections with research and enterprise partners. It provides 3 and 4 year single and joint undergraduate honours degree courses in Economics, Psychology and Sociology. Students on 4 year courses benefit from a University-managed Professional Placement year. This contributes to the University's consistently outstanding employment prospects. The School has a well-earned reputation for research and enterprise in both the private and public sectors.

School of Management

The School of Management offers a world-class management education to an international community. It provides internationally recognised undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the specialist fields of hospitality, food, tourism, retail, marketing and health care management, a well regarded Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a variety of degree programmes across a broader range of business and management disciplines. The School also offers doctoral research degree programmes, Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and PhD.
