Specialist preparation for direct degree entry
The International Study Centre (ISC) offers international and EU students who do not meet direct academic entry requirements, specialist preparation for both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. The International Foundation Year and Pre-Masters programme are delivered by the ISC.
On the University campus The ISC is based in a modern well-equipped facility on the University campus. You will be part of the University from the day you start your course.
Assured progression to your degree Joining the International Study Centre guarantees that you will receive a conditional offer of a degree place at the University. Once you have successfully completed your preparation course and have met the required entry standards, you will proceed directly to your preferred degree programme.
Access to University facilities A comprehensive range of academic facilities and support services at the University are available to you as an ISC student. You will also have automatic membership of the Students' Union which runs over 115 societies and 38 sports clubs.
Personal monitoring and support You will be taught by specialists in university preparation. Your progress will be monitored at all times to make sure you remain on track to successfully complete the programme. You will also benefit from regular assessment through examination and marked coursework.
Links with University lecturers Your Link Tutor, who is also a lecturer at Sussex, will help you to understand your degree choices and answer your questions about studying on a University programme.
