Degree preparation for international students at UCD
If you want to study at University College Dublin but need to advance your current English and academic skills to meet the requirements of a degree, both at undergraduate and graduate level, the International Study Centre at UCD can help you with a range of preparation programmes for degree study.
Your degree at UCD
The International Study Centre currently offers preparation for a wide range of degree subjects at UCD:
- undergraduate degrees in Business, Economics and Social Studies - International Foundation
- undergraduate degrees in Science, Engineering and Biomedical - International Foundation
- Masters degrees in Business and Management - Pre-Masters
Get ready in as few as three terms
The International Study Centre (ISC) programmes are a combination of English language, study skills and academic subjects aimed at getting you ready for degree study at UCD. The International Foundation Year offers a Three-term programme depending on your level of English language.
In the case of the Pre-Masters programme you have the option to prepare in two and a half terms or three terms but this will be subject to your level of English.
Committed to your success
If you complete the International Foundation Year or the Pre-Masters with the required grades, you will progress to your degree of choice at UCD. This is how we help you do this:
- The ISC programmes are taught by specialists in teaching international students
- Classes are kept small and support staff are on hand to closely monitor academic progress and the students' welfare
- We provide a "soft landing" into university life away from home and help you build skills and confidence to make the most of your international education experience and succeed at UCD
- You are already part of UCD and making use of all it offers but at the same time you benefit from the care the ISC staff dedicate to its students
