The Fair is a fantastic opportunity to ask us any question you might have about the University and admission to our programmes. There will also be presentations and useful seminars, such as advice on how to achieve the required IELTS test or on alternatives to IELTS.

Degree preparation for international students

The Wales International Study centre offers a range of courses specifically designed for international students to help them to succeed in their chosen degree.

Based on campus at the University of Wales, Newport, students benefit from a safe learning environment and small class sizes to equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in undergraduate and postgraduate study.

On successful completion of the degree preparation programmes, students can choose from a wide range of degrees offered at our 12 partner universities. 

Our courses  

International Foundation Year	International Year one	Pre-Masters
Undergraduate degree preparation with progression to a choice of degrees at 12 universities in Wales. Students can choose between two subject routes: Business, Law and Social Studies Engineering and Science	The International Year One is a three-term programme equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree. It leads to direct entry to the second year of an undergraduate degree at a selection of universities in Wales. Programme information	A two-term preparation programme, leading to postgraduate degrees at six universities in Wales. The course combines academic subjects, study skills and English language preparation.
