Bangor University
Bangor is one of the oldest Universities and ranked amung the top 20 for many subjects. It has innovative research facilities including a nanotechnology laboratory, agricultural land and even an ocean-going research ship. As well as a campus sports centre, there is climbing, hill walking and water sports nearby. With the best nightclub in North Wales and a lively cultural scene, you'll have plenty to keep you entertained.
Located in north west Wales, between the peaceful island of Anglesey and the spectacular landscapes of Snowdonia National Park. Bangor is inexpensive and lively with a warm and distinctly Welsh feel to it. Historical towns such as Beaumaris, Conwy and Caernarfon are all close by.

Guaranteed places for 1st year students. All four residential sites are within walking distance of the main city centre and main university departments.
Library facilities at the University include an extensive collection of books, journals, databases, videos, CDs, micro-materials, and manuscript collections. PCs have full internet access and computer labs are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The colleges are well resourced and include the rare and outstanding facility of the £3.5 million Prince Madog ocean-going research ship, nanotechnology laboratories, Natural History Museum, psychology FMRi equipment and agricultural land where innovative research programmes are conducted.
The University has a sports centre, athletics track and sports field providing students with great indoor and outdoor sporting facilities.
Students who enjoy the outdoors have a range of activities on their doorstep, such as climbing, hill walking, diving and water sports, to name but a few.
The students union offers entertainment most nights of the week in its various venues including a 1000 capacity night club regarded as the best nightclub in North Wales. It has a vibrant cultural scene centred around the regional theatre Theatr Gwynedd.
