Swansea Metropolitan University
The University has close industrial and commercial links and a good record as a provider of strong vocational courses. Located on the Gower Peninsula, a place of outstanding beauty, it is popular with students who love the outdoors and is a great choice for Art and Design, Engineering, Digital Media, Computing, Business, Humanities and Performing Arts. With three libraries and an active Students’ Union, there are great social, cultural and recreational opportunities for all students.

The University’s roots stretch back over 150 years. It has close links with industry, commerce and the public services, which allows it to offer a strongly vocational education to its students. The Dynevor Centre for Art, Design and Media admitted its first students to its new city centre campus in autumn 2005.

Accommodation is available on the Mount Pleasant and Townhill campuses and priority is given to first year students.
Specialist computer laboratories and groups of computer workstations are located in each faculty to suit the needs of their students. The Institute is served by three libraries located on the main campuses.
The Students’ Union plays a key role in fostering the social, cultural and recreational activities of students, as well as helping to cater for their welfare needs. The Athletic Union offers a wide range of sports clubs.
In the city of Swansea, the Grand Theatre offers top entertainment all the year round, from pantomime and drama to opera and ballet. Opportunities for sport abound, watching or playing, with soccer, rugby union and cricket.
