Academic facilities at Newport

Students at the WISC have full access to all of the facilities on campus. This includes access to computer suites 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as well as internet access in your halls of residence.

Libraries

Our libraries offer a full range of services, providing access to information in any format and also house a number of specialist collections. The library catalogue lists all the material held in the library, the availability and location. The catalogue can be accessed online.

The University Libraries provide access to a number of electronic resources and databases via the Internet. The databases provide bibliographic information on journal articles, conference papers, books and other literature.

To make the most of the resources available to you, library information skills sessions are available. Professional advice is provided for all academic subjects via a number of Information Librarians - qualified staff who have knowledge of information sources in particular subject areas.

The University Library collections reflects the learning, teaching and research commitments of the academic schools, so you will find books on Art, Business, Computing, Education, Engineering, Humanities, Management, Media & Design, Social Science and Science.
