The Wales International Study Centre (WISC) is unique: it offers international students a direct pathway to some of the finest degree programmes in the world

WISC offers international students who do not meet direct entry requirements, specialist preparation for a wide range of undergraduate degrees at Universities and Higher Education Institutions in Wales. The International Foundation Year delivered at the ISC provides a choice of two routes in key subject areas.

On the University Campus

The ISC is based in a superb, modern facility on the campus of the University of Wales, Newport. The Caerleon campus is a truly beautiful and secure location. You will feel part of the University from the day you start your course.

Assured progression to your degree

Joining the foundation programme guarantees that you will receive a conditional offer of a degree place at the University of Wales, Newport. After successful completion of the Foundation Year, either you may choose to stay on at Newport or to continue with one of our partner universities across Wales.
