Campus Services and Academic Resources
Information Technology Woodbury University offers a variety of technology support options to faculty, staff, and students. There are 94 computers available for student use in various locations throughout the campus. A campus-wide network can be accessed from off-campus. Faculty members and/or advisors can be contacted through email. A staffed computer lab provides IT training. The main Computer Lab is located on the second floor of Miller Hall and is equipped with PCs and Macs.
Specialized academic facilities The professional architecture and design majors have specialized studios and computer labs, including a large woodworking shop, design review rooms, garment production areas, darkrooms and material reference rooms. The University also maintains an important collection of historical and contemporary costumes, with rotating exhibitions showcased in the Fashion Center. The University design galleries are settings for important exhibits by artists and designers as well as by the faculty and students. They also serve as venues for the various lecture series.

The Library Woodbury University’s library houses a collection of books, periodicals, DVDs, CDs, newspapers, audio and video cassettes, slides and other materials all carefully selected to meet the curricular needs of students. Most of the library’s databases can be accessed through the Woodbury University website. Materials not owned by the library can be requested on interlibrary loan.
In addition Woodbury students have access to the Los Angeles Times Library with 70,700 vols, 125 microfilm titles; 1,600 serials and 1,350 audiovisual titles.
Students with Disabilities The University is strongly committed to promoting and achieving equitable learning opportunities and participation for students with disabilities. The University will make reasonable accommodations to students with documented disabilities that substantially limit a major life activity. These may include modifications of course load, exam accommodations (quiet place, additional time, word processor), books on tape, note takers and peer tutors.
Academic Support The Office of Academic Success and Instructional Services is an integrated and proactive approach to teaching and learning for students, faculty, and staff at Woodbury University. Services offered include academic advising, peer mentoring, supplemental instruction, tutoring, IT testing and training. There are Macs and PC for use as well as group and individual study areas.
Student Support You will be fully supported on your Transition Program. When you become a full-time University student, your support continues. Woodbury’s Student Orientation Advising and Registration (SOAR) provides academic orientation to new students. They help students become acquainted with departments, offices, and services, and their Peer Advisors provide students with additional support in adjusting to their academic responsibilities.
Bookstore The Campus Store, which is located on the lower level of South Hall, offers competitive prices on books, supplies, art supplies, and other materials needed for classes taken at Woodbury University. They also carry a selection of Woodbury University branded general merchandise.
Campus Security Woodbury University is committed to providing a safe environment for its community members. Private security officers monitor the campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They provide traffic assistance to visitors as well as providing general security and safety to members of the Woodbury University community.
Counseling Centre The Counseling Center seeks to foster the well-being of all Woodbury students in the belief that sound emotional health is conducive to academic success. Confidentiality is strictly honored. Services include
- Individual short term counseling
- Workshops and presentations on a variety of topics, emphasizing health and wellness
- Support groups (organized around student interest)
- Referrals to specialized services
- On-line screening
Health Services Office Offers free services to all students regardless of health insurance, such as health assessments, first aid and a variety of health screenings. The campus nurse has a network of referrals to off-campus healthcare providers including medical doctors, medical facilities and clinics, dentists and vision care specialists. Health Services sponsors several health educational programs throughout the academic semesters and has a library of free written health information, handouts and brochures.

Computer Services
- Computer Labs: Apple and Windows computers available for use across campus.
- Email: University email accounts are offered to enrolled students through a webmail system.
- IQ Web: Woodbury's Course Management System providing course files, online registration, grade retrieval, and catalog information. This is also the student portal, letting you see registration information, grades, transcripts, and degree requirements.
- Plato Tutoring: specialized software tutorials.
- Wireless Network: Woodbury University currently offers a wireless network in a number of campus locations. To use this service, you have to register your wireless card with IT.
