MBA degree at Woodbury University
The Master of Business Administration is available to international students after completion of the American Diploma for University Entrance (providing students has already studied a bachelors degre and a GMAT of at least 500).
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The Woodbury University MBA is designed to prepare individuals for leadership roles in domestic and international enterprise. It welcomes those having a non-business undergraduate background as well as those possessing an undergraduate business degree.
Classes are small and highly interactive. Faculty members are academic leaders and seasoned business professionals, who build the MBA courses on sound business fundamentals in the areas of accounting, finance, economics, marketing, and IT along with cutting-edge insights on organizational behavior skills, including emotional intelligence, ethical leadership and strategy. As an international student enrolled in the MBA degree program at Woodbury University, you will be advised by a faculty member on classes and career choices.
Accreditation
The Woodbury University MBA program is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
Structure of MBA program
The MBA program is typically completed in two calendar years. The program is 36 credits in total. Classes may be taken on the weekends, evenings, or a combination of both. You also have the option of getting your MBA degree through an intensive one-year program, completed in 3 semesters.
MBA Curriculum:
All courses offered are 3 credits each. You are required to complete a total of 12 courses to get your MBA degree. Courses are divided up as core and elective courses.

Business Administration Core (ten courses): 30 credits
MBA elective courses:
You can select any two of seven areas of concentration:
- Accounting
- Information Technology
- Economics
- Finance
- Marketing
- Management
- International Business
Electives (2 courses): 6 credits.
MBA pre-requisite courses
If you do not have sufficient academic business background, you will be required to take pre-requisite courses in:
- Accounting Practices
- Financial Economics
- Legal and Ethical Issues in Business
- Global Marketing
- Production, Operation, and Systems Management
- Organizational Behavior and Strategy
This requirement may be satisfied by completion of undergraduate level courses with the equivalent of a grade 'B' or above. Experience will not be accepted to satisfy pre-requisite academic coursework.
