In the space of a year, the University of Hartford is enjoying a near threefold increase of international students receiving an offer, and confirming their degree places, through Study Group’s international recruitment and admissions activity.

Here, Provost Dr Katherine Black discusses the internationalisation strategy that Study Group delivers in partnership with the university, and the benefits that an increasingly diverse community on campus delivers for the leading American institution and its students.

Partnering for international student success

Study Group connects the University of Hartford with ambitious international students by:

  • Running in-market student recruitment, yielding a 77% increase of international student applications by May 2023 versus May 2022
  • Supporting students to apply for the best-fit course, resulting in a 280% surge in the number of confirmed offers received this year versus prior
  • Recruiting high quality international students at undergraduate and postgraduate level for direct admission to the university, and
  • Supporting a broader range of international students into the university through the University of Hartford International Pathway Program, which Study Group delivers on-campus at the International Study Center to help international students with proven academic ability to improve their English and preparedness for the US education system
