ABOUT THE VIRTUAL INTERNSHIPS PROGRAM

Overview: Study Group has partnered with Virtual Internship Partners Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales with registered number 11234698 to coordinate “Virtual Internship” experiences for interested and eligible Study Group students. The Virtual Internships program is designed to give students the opportunity to participate in learning experiences in a real-world job setting. Internships are short term experiences of one to four months with hours limited to not more than twenty (20) hours per week. Internships are available in approximately eighteen (18) different career fields with host organizations in a variety of countries worldwide. Internships are typically unpaid and are designed exclusively to be learning experiences for participants. You should not expect that participation in a Virtual Internship will result in employment with your host organization. You will not receive academic credit for participation in a Virtual Internship.
Student Visa Considerations: Hours spent in an internship, even if unpaid, may count against the work hour limitations for your student visa. If you are otherwise working or participating in another internship programme, you should seek advice on the limitations of your student visa before applying to the Virtual Internship programme. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING COMPLIANCE WITH YOUR VISA.
Eligibility: You must be over the age of 18 and must, [A] have commenced your Study Group programme (on-line or face to face, as permitted by your programme), and [B] be in good standing in your programme (i.e. progressing satisfactorily with good attendance, and [C] be able to complete the Virtual Internship for which you apply prior to the scheduled completion date for your Study Group programme. To be eligible you must also register your interest in Virtual Internships prior to commencing your studies on your confirmed Autumn 2021 Study Group programme. To register your interest please respond to the e-mail you received regarding the Virtual Internships programme. If you did not receive an e-mail please contact VirtualInternships@studygroup.com.
Host Organizations: All host organizations sponsoring internships are contracted directly by Virtual Internship Partners Limited. Study Group has no relationship to any of the host organisations and makes no representations or warranties regarding the host organizations or the internships they may offer. For any internship you may consider, you are encouraged to look up the host organization, ask questions, and satisfy yourself that the opportunity is a good opportunity for you. If you have questions at any time about how to get information on any host organisation, you should contact Virtual Internship Partners Limited. If you have trouble getting information from Virtual Internship Partners Limited, please contact Virtualinternships@studygroup.com.
Participant Agreement: Virtual Internship Partners Limited may require that you sign a contract with them as part of participating in the Virtual Internships programme. You should read the contract very carefully and only consider signing a contract if you fully understand and agree to all of the terms. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR DECIDING TO ENTER INTO ANY CONTRACT WITH VIRTUAL INTERNSHIPS PARTNERS LIMITED AND FOR COMPLYING WITH ANY TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
Fees: The Virtual Internships programme is offered free of charge to participating Study Group students. If Virtual Internship Partners Limited or any host organization attempts to collect a fee from you for participation in the internship, or for any other reason, please notify Legal@StudyGroup.com immediately.
Cancellation of Internship: Your internship may be terminated at any time by Study Group or Virtual Internship Partners Limited in the event you are failing to progress adequately in your Study Group programme (including excessive absenteeism), you fail to comply with the terms of any participation agreement you have entered into, your host organisation requests your termination for any reason, or other events, including, but not limited to, cancellation of the programme by the host, Virtual Internship Partners Limited, or Study Group, or events beyond the reasonable control of any of the foregoing.
Modification or Termination of Programme: Study Group reserves the right to modify or terminate the Virtual Internships program at any time in its sole discretion.
