The QSF is a contribution of GBP£1,000 for any student who is required to quarantine in a government approved hotel upon arrival in the UK from a Covid-19 red list country as stated below (“Red List Country”).

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DOCUMENT.  Should you have any questions about the QSF, please contact your educational representative for more information.

Eligibility:  To receive the QSF you must be a student who:

  1. has accepted an unconditional offer from Study Group, or has been notified by Study Group that you have satisfied all conditions on a conditional offer such that the offer is now unconditional; and
  2. has paid your required deposit or tuition fee (if applicable) to confirm your place with Study Group per the terms of your offer; and
  3. will arrive in the UK from a Red List Country as at the date of travel; and

Students must pay their deposit to confirm their place on one of Study Group’s iCAS programmes at Kingston University International Study Centre starting September – December 2021 and arrive in the UK no later than 30 days after iCAS issuance or no later than 21 days after the published start of the course – whichever is latest.

University of Huddersfield International Study Centre and University of Huddersfield – London students.

Students studying a Study Group programme at the University of Huddersfield International Study Centre or at the University of Huddersfield - London must complete their quarantine in a government approved hotel and be available to begin their studies on-campus by 4 October 2021.

Students under 18:

Students under the age of 18 years that start their programme virtually from home, and travel to the UK to join their programme on campus by 6 April 2022 from a country on the UK’s travel red-list, will be eligible for the QSF provided terms (i) to (iv) above are met.

UK government guidance stipulates that students under the age of 18 will NOT be able to quarantine in a government-approved quarantine hotel UNLESS accompanied by responsible adult aged 18 or over for the duration of their stay.

Any parent or guardian travelling with a student who is under 18 MUST be either a UK or Irish national or have residence rights in the UK to be able to travel from red-list countries into the UK. This applies to ANYONE accompanying an under-18 student.

If a parent/guardian wishes to have an adult such as a family member who is already resident and living in the UK join the under-18 year old student in the quarantine-managed hotel on the day of arrival (and for the duration of the student’s quarantine period), arrangements must be made by the parent or guardian to book the hotel in advance and name the responsible adult who will be quarantining with the student for the duration of their stay.

Students who fail to follow the above UK government guidance and attempt to travel to the UK from red-list countries without having the above arrangements in place will be refused entry to the UK and have to return home.

Additionally, if a student under the age of 18 years turns 18 before the 6 April 2022 and is arriving into the UK from a country on the red-list, the Quarantine Support Fund will be extended to support them. The student must confirm their place and arrive into the UK in time to complete the quarantine period and continue their studies on-campus by the 6 April 2022.

General:

The QSF is not available to you if you are permitted to quarantine at non-government required accommodation.

The QSF will be credited against your tuition bill for your first term or if already paid in full, against your next tuition fee invoice. If you have paid in full for all remaining periods of study with Study Group, you can apply for a refund by contacting student services at your Study Centre.

If you cancel your booking at the government approved quarantine hotel, you will not be eligible for the QSF, unless otherwise agreed by Study Group in writing.

You are not eligible for QSF if you confirm your place for an online only programme.

Study Group reserves the right to decline the QSF for any student or withdraw the offer of the QSF at the Study Group's discretion.
