“Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting, and is celebrated during the first three days of Shawwal, which this year takes place from today until Saturday 15 May.

“Eid al-Fitr is meant to be a jubilant day, with large and widespread celebrations taking place in Muslim communities around the world.

“However, this year we appreciate that festivities are likely to be subdued due to COVID-19 restrictions but hope that you are able to find ways to celebrate this occasion with your family and friends.
