Study Group colleagues complete more than 500 missions to raise funds for children in Ethiopia

A row of Study Group staff taking part in a challenge.

There are more than 30,000 children from South Sudan living as refugees in Ethiopia’s Gambella region. These children have faced immense challenges in their young lives. They have fled conflict and the impacts of climate change. They have lost their homes, experienced traumas and now up to 70% of these children are missing out on school.

Education can be a lifeline for children who have experienced dislocation and suffering. To help give these children a brighter future, Building Futures builds classrooms, invests in school management, trains teachers to support children who have experienced trauma and helps children to catch up on lost learning.

To raise vital funds to create safer schools for children in Ethiopia through our Building Futures initiative, 21 Study Group teams around the world recently took on The Quest, a digital scavenger hunt challenge.

Our intrepid colleagues completed an incredible 548 missions, raising more than £21,500 for this wonderful cause. Congratulations and well done!

We would like to thank all our dedicated colleagues who took on The Quest and everyone who sponsored them, helping to create a better world through education.
