Study Group launches a new Job Ready programme to support student employability
Leading international education provider Study Group has launched Job Ready, a new and forward-thinking strategic initiative, which will enable students to learn key transferable skills and develop work experience while they study.
The core purpose of the Job Ready scheme is to equip learners with the knowledge and skills they need for the workplace to be able to access global employment opportunities once they graduate from university.
Job Ready will be available to all confirmed new students for Study Group programmes offered in the UK and includes the following services:
- CV writing: Students will be able to learn how to write a compelling CV to showcase their work experience and skill set.
- Interview coaching and mock interviews: Job Ready will prepare students to interview with confidence to improve their ability to secure a job during and post-study.
- Access to employment opportunities: Learners will receive dedicated assistance in arranging up to three interview opportunities with potential employers, to enable students to earn while they learn.
Commenting on the launch of the Job Ready Programme, James Pitman, UK and Europe Managing Director at Study Group said:
“Study Group is committed to supporting student progression to global higher education and employment. Consequently, we have developed Job Ready, a pioneering new initiative to support students to build knowledge and expertise in their chosen field of study, alongside developing professional core competencies and relevant work experience as soon as they come to the UK, enhancing their future employment prospects.
Job Ready will enable students to earn while they learn to gain exposure to different workplace environments and acquire the key transferable skills needed to stand out in a competitive global jobs market.”
